Formononetin 7-glucoside is a member of the class of compounds known as isoflavonoid o-glycosides. Isoflavonoid o-glycosides are o-glycosylated derivatives of isoflavonoids, which are natural products derived from 3-phenylchromen-4-one. Formononetin 7-glucoside is practically insoluble (in water) and a very weakly acidic compound (based on its pKa). Formononetin 7-glucoside can be found in chickpea, pulses, and soy bean, which makes formononetin 7-glucoside a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products.
Belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isoflavonoid o-glycosides. These are o-glycosylated derivatives of isoflavonoids, which are natural products derived from 3-phenylchromen-4-one.
